Professional Pilot Flight Training

Welcome to European Pilot. Focussing on Professional Pilot Flight Training.

I have written this web site and continue to add and update sections for the purpose of helping those looking to train to be a pilot, whether recreationally to gain a Private Pilots Licence (PPL) or to go on to commercial piloting as a CPL, or instructor.

Becoming an airliner pilot is a bit of a mystery for most and I’m regularly asked the question of how I got into professional aviation. I did it the hard way like most people have to through the ‘self improver’ or now known as the modular route.

It was a lot of hard work and continues to be, but it certainly has been worth it to achieve my life long ambition.

Throughout this site there is information on becoming a pilot and the route to take. I have mainly focussed on the modular route since this is the most common and suits people with family and work commitments or people with a tight budget.

If there is a question you ever want to ask, simply fill in the form in the contact me page and I will be happy to answer as promptly as possible. I do work as a full time pilot so please bear with me when answering your messages.

April 2008 Update
Flight training stories on their way to you very soon. I am currently in the process of adding an ezine (electronic magazine) with private and professional pilot flight training stories where real european pilots have added their stories to our ezine so you can read how they made it. To subscribe, simply fill in the ezine form found on many pages of this website.

Florida flying schools in the flight school list section in the nav bar on the left of the screen has now been updated. I will be adding more flight schools from the California area soon. The detailed directory of flight schools continues to grow so check back regularly. Subscribe to the flight training stories ezine and periodic updates of this section will be sent along with all the stories.

March 2008 Update
The Q's & A's section of this site is proving more popular than I though it would. Questions and query's are really starting to come in steady and fast. Any questions or comments you have, drop by the contact us page on the left of the screen or click here. If there is a specific section you would like to see added to the site, let me know through the contact us page and I will see what I can do.

The Canadian flight training page is mostly complete and if any of you know of an appropriate flying club or flying school that I've missed, do point it out.

Currently under construction is the USA flying schools database and this will be added one State at a time starting with Florida.

One other idea I'm looking into is adding a feature to the site or an ezine where current student pilots provide their experience and wisdom for those of you who are now looking at venturing down the avenue to become a professional pilot. Ideas for this would be appreciated.

Until next time. TTFN. Peter

Feb 2008 Update
Although in no way complete, the website is really starting to prove a hit.. Professional pilot candidates to up and coming PPL's, I hope it can be even more helpful in months and years to come.

School2You
In order to help people find more flying schools, often in parts of the world they never considered, I've put together school2you. It's simply an online form. You tell us what you want, provide details so you can be contacted and we match your requirements up with flying schools and flying clubs so you can have true variety to choose from. Variety is the spice of life. Often flying schools fill a niche that you would never have thought of. Check it out using the link bar on the left. School2You!

Flying school database
The work is ongoing adding professional pilot flight schools around the world to our database. This is a mammoth project but will hopefully be complete within the next couple of months.

I hope this site is of help to you and I look forward to hearing all your questions comments and success stories.
